remain the city’s creative heart are being razed in favor of faceless apartments and chains for the wealthy few.
However, the possibilities in the city are, quite literally, exhilarating. The West End’s Soho is London’s de facto gay district, though it also has a rich history of hard-drinking pubs.
The coolest bars are now over in Peckham, though for a cocktail-in-a-jam-jar x, you could go to the streets of Dalston and Hackney. Also, Angel or Clapham has a wealth of options. Though Camden and Brixton – traditionally the center of punk and reggae in the city, they aren’t as raw as they once were. But there’s still unique energy splattered on the wet pavements.
